I heard about this situation and was very upset...and then I found out that she was a Theta Sister. My heart goes out to you girls and her family. May you find peace in this challenging time.

I was reading about Yeardley's death online, and although it is absolutely devastating, it really hit home for me to know that she was a sister of Theta. I am praying for Yeardley's family, friends and all of the Thetas at UVA. I hope your warm memories of Yeardley carry you through this difficult time.
As a member of Delta Chi and mother of a fourth year son, I want to express my sympathy and love for my Theta sisters who are suffering through this ordeal. It is clear that Yeardley was loved by all and her death brings a great loss not only to the chapter, but to each of you. May all the Thetas take this horrible experience and use their actions to work toward helping women in a similar terrible situations to escape from abusive relationships. Theta love and support to all. Ellen Witscher Trovillion, Delta Chi '76
