Last Thursday we held Theta's own Masquerade at Boylan Heights. Beforehand, the Second Years all picked out two special and unique masks, one that they would wear and another that their Little would wear. For the reveal, each Big would be wearing the same mask as their Little and as the Littles trickled in to the apartment, it was their duty to find the girl who was wearing the same one. At the same moment both Big and Little would take off their mask for the reveal! There were lots of excitement, screams and photos. It was the perfect way to start out the night before the Masquerade Date Function.

Now that the Theta families were complete on Thursday night, next came the Loyalty Service on Saturday. Each new Theta pledged their loyalty and began to hear a few of the songs that Theta's all over the country sing. Little did they know that during Initiation they would hear many more.
THE THETA CREST
Finally Sunday arrived when it was time for Initiation. Initiation binds all the chapters of Kappa Alpha Theta around the world and once it occurs, there is no going back. All you new members are now a Theta for life (TFL)! We can't reveal any of the secrets of Initiation, however we did have a few surprise guests. Two Theta mothers, Mrs. Lerch and Mrs. Carey, were a part of their daughter's initiation. They got to watch their daughters officially be inducted into the same bonds of sisterhood as they once were back in college. A special moment to say the least, not at all bittersweet. All in all it was a fantastic day and weekend for the members of Delta Chi as we couldn't be prouder of our new additions!
